Tier 1: Peer Department Referrals

Introduce Kagumu to a faculty member or department chair at your university planning a new study abroad program or looking for an immersive ground partner.

$1,000 Research Stipend payable to your departmental research account or personal travel grant upon confirmed program deposit.

Tier 2: Inter-Institutional Mentorship

Connect Kagumu with a peer professor at another university to lead an international field program in Latin America with us.

$2,000 Research Stipend, co-branded curriculum publications, and featured academic case studies highlighting your leadership.

Tier 3: Co-Design & Scouting Grants

Collaborate with our Latin American field teams to design new academic modules, evaluate new project sites, or expand student group capacity.

$500 Pre-Trip Scouting Grant, fully funded co-leader spots, and priority access to new community field locations.

 

How the Program Works in 3 Steps

  1. Connect & Introduce: Introduce us via email to a colleague at your institution or a peer university who is interested in faculty-led international travel.
  2. We Co-Design the Itinerary: Kagumu works directly with the new faculty leader to tailor their course syllabus, align local SDG field projects, and handle all risk and administrative documentation.
  3. Receive Your Research Stipend: Once the new program is confirmed and deposited, your research stipend or travel credit is issued immediately to support your academic work.

  • Administrator & Risk Packets: Comprehensive emergency response plans, insurance verifications, and safety briefs ready for University Travel Board approval.
  • Personal Referral Tracking: Dedicated referral tracking to ensure your stipends are processed promptly upon deposit.
