Our Impact
Embracing our responsibility as a travel operator
Our carefully curated trips connect travelers with incredible environmental projects, inspiring community activists, and important sustainability practices that show the life-changing power of adventure!
Our hand-picked pioneering providers
As well as following our principles on every trip, we choose the most responsible hotels, guides, restaurants, and local partners we can find.
Despite this, we know that there are still some major gaps. We are constantly exploring ways we can improve and are on the lookout for providers with the best sustainability and ethical credentials.
We’d love to hear about new impactful hotels, restaurants, and social and environmental projects in Latin America.

Our Climate Partners
Tomorrow’s Air – Carbon Capture
Investment in renewable energies and other carbon-offsetting projects is no longer enough to save our planet! We all know that we have to reduce our emissions and remove carbon that is already in the atmosphere. This is why we chose Tomorrow’s Air to partner with.
Not only do they share our passion for sustainable travel and education but they are partnered with innovative carbon removal projects.
A set contribution of $30 per person for specific groups will be donated to permanently remove 30 kg of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
If you would like to go the extra (air)mile and make your own contribution, you can do so here.
Environomica – Reforesting the Heart of the World
Environomica combines the impressive work of conserving important ecosystems with building alliances with local communities to promote sustainable agriculture in the Sierra Nevada region of Santa Marta, a much-loved region for Kagumu and many of our travelers.
For relevant groups, a carbon calculation of on-land emissions is then turned into a donation to help reforestation.
If you would like to adopt your own trees in this enchanting region of the world you can do so here. You can read more about our approach to carbon measurement and our climate action plan on our Climate Action Page.
