Our itinerary takes you into Panama’s metropolitan capital city to rugged Pacific coastal beaches and volcanoes, and into verdant national parks.

Example Itinerary

Day 1: Arrivals & intro to program (Panama City)

Our dedicated guides will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Panama City.

Mouth-watering Panama cuisine to get the itinerary started! After, our guides introduce the SDG-app work and of course our well-designed and fun reflection session methodology.

Day 2: Hike, forestry workshop, and boat tour (San Lorenzo)

Hike in San Lorenzo National Park before joining local experts in a forestry workshop to replenish the degraded land. After lunch head out on a boat tour and get a glimpse of San Lorenzo castle. Overnight in San Lorenzo.

Day 3: Mangrove conservation (Mata Oscura)

Transfer to Mata Oscura on the Pacific Coast where students will learn the importance of conserving the mangrove ecosystem. Enjoy a traditional stew lunch called a sancocho and overnight on the Pacific Coast.

Day 4: Kayak in the mangroves (Mata Oscura)

Kayak through the mangroves along the coast before joining a local foundation in their quest to clean up the beaches from the invasion of plastic and waste. Enjoy free time on the beach and evening games with the locals.

Day 5: Hiking up volcano (India Dormida)

We set off to India Dormida volcano where students will enjoy a short hike through dense forests, across waterfalls, streams, and up to breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the valley below.

Student enjoy some free time and dinner before staying overnight in India Dormida.

Day 6: Cycling & cooking challenge (India Dormida)

Students wake up early to jump on their bikes for a cycle around the base of this majestic volcano. After lunch we depart for Panama City. Upon arrival we join a local collective and enjoy a cooking class. Overnight in Panama City.

Day 7: Panama Canal & chocolate tasting

Students discover the engineering marvel that is the Panama Canal before exploring the city’s fascinating Old Town on an interactive tour. They put their new Spanish speaking skills to the test with a coffee and chocolate tasting session before our final dinner of the trip. Overnight in Panama City.

Day 8: Souvenir Shopping & departures

You will have time to visit nearby shops to purchase gifts for friends and family. Our team will then take the group to the airport and not leave until the students are safely through the gate.
