Example Itinerary

Day 1: Arrivals & intro to program (Panama City)

Our dedicated guides will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Panama City.

To get things started, you’ll try some mouth-watering Panamanian cuisine. Afterward, the guides will explain our unique methodology that teaches students about global issues while inspiring them to take positive action in their own lives.

Day 2: Hike, forestry workshop, and boat tour (San Lorenzo)

Today we’ll hike in San Lorenzo National Park before joining local experts in a forestry workshop to replenish the land. After lunch, we head out on a boat tour and get a glimpse of San Lorenzo castle. We’ll stay overnight in San Lorenzo.

Day 3: Mangrove conservation (Mata Oscura)

First, we’ll travel to Mata Oscura on the Pacific coast where students will learn the importance of conserving mangrove ecosystems. Then we’ll enjoy a traditional lunch called sancocho and stay overnight near the ocean.

Day 4: Kayak in the mangroves (Mata Oscura)

Today the groups will kayak through the mangroves along the coast before joining a local foundation in their quest to save beaches from the threat of plastic and waste. You’ll enjoy some free time on the beach and some evening games with locals.

Day 5: Hiking up volcano (India Dormida)

We’ll set off to the India Dormida volcano where students will take a short hike through dense forests, past waterfalls and streams, and up to breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the valley below.

Students will enjoy some free time and dinner before staying overnight at India Dormida.

Day 6: Cycling & cooking challenge (India Dormida)

Students wake up early to cycle around the base of the majestic volcano. After lunch, we’ll depart for Panama City, where we’ll join a local collective and take part in a cooking class.

Day 7: Panama Canal & chocolate tasting

Students will discover the engineering marvel that is the Panama Canal before taking an interactive tour of the city’s fascinating old town. They’ll put their new Spanish-speaking skills to the test with a coffee and chocolate-tasting session before our final dinner of the trip.

Day 8: Souvenir Shopping & departures

You’ll have time to visit nearby shops to purchase gifts for friends and family. Our team will then take the group to the airport and only leave when the students are safely through the gate.
